On February 1, Disney’s original 1951 animated classic of the same name will debut on 2-D Blu-ray. Extras for that set include the newly discovered Cheshire Cat song “I’m Odd” and a never-before-seen 1959 televised introduction to the production by Walt Disney. More at www.disneystore.com.

In response to skyrocketing DVD circulation and hoping to keep patrons abreast of the latest movie/TV titles as well as those they might have missed or forgotten, Monroe Free Library, NY, last year created a Siskel and Ebert–style monthly web show titled Reel Talk and cohosted by library director Marilyn McIntosh and head of circulation Carol Bezkorowajny. Now several episodes into its second “season,” the show has reviewed everything from Mad Men to Psycho and highlighted a host of movies adapted from books, e.g., Precious (based on Sapphire’s Push). Watch the complete series at monroefreelibrary.org/video.
