- Timeline unclear
- Need for the "right fit"
Though the Tulsa City-County Library, OK, has been looking for a new CEO since November, the process is going slowly, with the search reopened after three finalists were chosen, though none has been selected to lead the system.
According to the library web page devoted to the CEO search, in February, up to seven candidates had been recommended for interviews, from whom three candidates were selected in March.
Then, from April 1 to April 3, the three finalists came to Tulsa for interviews, meetings, and a public forum. They are Alison Landers (Sacramento PL), Juliet Machie (Detroit PL) and Sarah Rosenblum (Santa Barbara PL, CA).
On April 7, however, the library Commission voted to extend the search for additional candidates to consider for the position of CEO, with no new timeline.
Library spokespeople told the Tulsa World, the three finalists remain candidates, but the library commissioners "really want to make sure we get the right fit for Tulsa."
