Pimp My Bookcart Contest Winners Announced

The comic strip Unshelved's 2008 Pimp my Bookcart contest, sponsored by Smith System, drew nearly 100 entries, including bookcarts turned into food carts, a fire truck, and a bookmobile.

First Prize went to Food for Thought, created by student employees of the Columbia University Library, New York.

Second Prize went to Phoenix Rising, created by a team known as Harlem High School Welding 3, Machesney Park, IL
.

One of the more impressive runners-up was Bookmobile Mini-Me, created by Washington County Free Library Bookmobile Department, Hagerstown, MD.
