Library Journal and digital and print book distributor, Baker & Taylor, (B&T) will provide libraries with full-text LJ and School Library Journal book reviews via B&T's recently unveiled Axis 360 digital circulation and management platform.

Reviews will be available to participating libraries at no cost for one year after launch, according to the announcement made during the American Library Association Annual Conference in New Orleans.

LJ and B&T have previously partnered to provide reviews through B&T's collection management tool, Title Source, and its OPAC enrichment service, Content Café.

"I'm pleased that we can expand this licensing agreement to provide Axis 360 customers with the same authoritative reviews to help them choose their next great read," said Ian Singer, LJ's Vice President and Group Publisher, at the announcement.

B&T yesterday announced the release of its Axis 360 platform, which, among other features, will allow libraries to order both electronic and print items by bundling them into one cart in B&T's Title Source 3, with electronic titles activated upon placement of an order. Axis 360 also showcases content for patrons on what B&T calls a "Magic Wall," and will also link with the interactive e-reading software Blio. Further Axis 360 features, including patron access to EPUB and spoken-word audio titles and patron reviews and ratings, will be rolled out in the fall.
