David Rapp has been named Library Journal's associate editor, technology, and also will help expand LJ's coverage of academic libraries. He has been a contributing editor at Scholastic Administrator, where he also has covered tech issues, and is a former staff member at MIT's Technology Review. He's also an eager student of library history, and has written articles about books, libraries, and the publishing industry for a wide range of publications.
Josh Hadro, who has served as LJ's tech editor since since January 2008, is shifting his role at the publication to cover reference, ebooks, and digital platforms. Hadro, who earned his MSLIS from the Pratt Institute in 2009, also will continue to cover academic libraries and remain editor of the LJ Academic Newswire. Both Rapp and Hadro will be attending the American Library Association Annual Conference in Washington, DC.
