IFLA Congress: back in North America!
April 3, 2008
This August, librarians from around the globe will descend in Quebec City to attend the World Library and Information Congress: 74th IFLA General Conference and Council.
IFLA congress is a unique event where every year thousands of librarians meet to share ideas and develop joint initiatives. I’ve been attending IFLA congresses since 2004. I’ve been to congresses in Buenos Aires , Oslo , Seoul , and Durban . I’d love to see many of you in Quebec this summer!
IFLA-Quebec promises to be a well-attended event. Large numbers of professionals and LIS students from the USA and Canada are planning to attend. It will be the first time IFLA Congress returns to North America since IFLA-Boston in 2001.
