I’ve received so many requests about how to learn Spanish to serve Spanish speakers that I’ve resolved to share my list of resources. There are many tools available in the net. This is not an exhaustive list, but it includes websites I keep on my desk to share with colleagues. If you use other resources and they are not here, email me!
Survival Spanish: Staff Library Guide to Assist the Spanish-Speaking Patron by the Metropolitan Cooperative Library System. Published by Sol and PLUS.
Revised by Marie Kaneko and Bruce Jensen, the Guide includes examples about phrases for public services and circulation staff, basic words, advanced conversations and help with pronunciation.
