Telenovela-Style Pressure to Vote
For your weekend entertainment, here's a telenovela parody on the importance of voting. It's called "La Pasion de la Decision" and it stars Rosario Dawson and Wilmer Valderrama with guest appearances by Jane Fonda and Perez Hilton. It's silly, yes, but sociologically speaking, I'm amazed how this election has come up with a million and one creative ways for celebrities to get involved. This time it's the Latinos making fun of their penchant for over-the-top drama with ay dios mio shock when pouty Carmen finds out that her lover Rodrigo wasn't registered to vote. This is the first episode in this five part slapstick-lipstick series that stars Voto-Latino co-founder Dawson as the outraged Carmen. Hiss.
