Bailey, Simon T.
tr. by Rosana Elizalde. U.S.: Rayo: HaperCollins. 2008. 205p. ISBN 978-0-06-158447-3. pap. $12.95. SELF-HELP

Using the metaphor of diamonds in the rough, Bailey declares the importance of conceiving the idea that we all are born as shining individuals who throughout the years forget the unique intensity we possess. The author shares the four keys to discovering and releasing that potential brilliance within. Each chapter has vivid stories from people illustrating their success after applying the four keys and transforming their opaque gems into brilliant diamonds. Using his own experiences, Bailey encourages readers and promises results in the areas of personal, professional, physical, and emotional life. These areas, according to him, are the most important facets of the diamond that need to be accurately cut and properly refined because they are the ones reflecting the real person. Bailey is not only a community leader and a family man, but also a well known author; this is his fifth book on topics relating to personal development. Recommended for libraries with large self-help collections.
