García-Febo Elected REFORMA Vice President

Loida García-Febo has been elected vice president/president-elect 2009–10 of REFORMA, the National Association To Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish Speaking. The results were announced on June 24, right before the 2008 American Library Association (ALA) annual conference in Anaheim, CA.

García-Febo manages special services for the Queens Library, Jamaica, NY, and is a Ph.D. student at the Palmer School of Library and Information Science, C.W. Post Campus, Long Island University, Brookville, NY. She was a 2007 Library Journal Mover & Shaker as is as a regular contributor to Críticas’s Multicultural Link blog.
