PreS-K—From the beginning-reader series It’s About Time, these four titles present basic information on seasons, months, days, and hours. From the description of each season’s main traits in the northern hemisphere to the characteristics of each month, and from the days of the week to how to tell time, each topic is discussed in a succinct manner with four sentences per page, two for each language. The text is well complemented by full-page, real-life photographs often portraying young children in action. In each volume, a glossary-appendix summarizes the information presented and highlights the main vocabulary. The Spanish translation is not literal, and in some cases it does not correlate to the original text. However, both languages describe examples and situations familiar to the intended audience. A good informational series for the very young, these titles will be useful to preschool and kindergarten teachers.—Liliana Barro Zecker, Associate Professor, School of Education, DePaul Univ., Chicago, IL
