Banned Book Returned to Florida Schools

U.S. District judge Alan Gold ruled that Vamos a Cuba should remain on Miami-Dade school library shelves. Though his verdict is not final, the preliminary ruling in favor of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) takes effect while the ACLU and the Student Government Association continue a lawsuit against the school system board; the board must decide whether it will appeal. The injunction called for books to be replaced on shelves by the end of last month.
